Vic Falls hosts the 6th IAM

26 active Apostles in DAA 28 (Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe) attended the 6thInternational Apostles’ Meetingwhich was held at Cresta Sprayview Hotel in Victoria Falls Town in Zimbabwe, on December 1, 2018.

District Apostle Helper Arnold Mhango was not part of the meeting on account of his dear wife who was ill.

The meeting, which lasted the whole day, discussed various Spiritual and Administrative issues relating to the New Apostolic Church.

An evening fellowship was arranged at Victoria Falls congregation in Chinotimba. During the fellowship, the main choir, children’s choir and orchestra rendered hymns much to the delight of the District Apostle Ndandula, who was guest of honour, and his entourage.

Sunday, 2nd December 2018 was the climax of the gathering when all active Apostles and three (3) Bishops in DAA 28 attended a divine service conducted by District Apostle Ndandula at Victoria Falls congregation in Zimbabwe.

Hebrews 4:12 was used as text word.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of the soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the hearts.”

For the after text the choir sang “When He cometh”.

In reference to the after text hymn, District Apostle Ndandula referred to the promised return of Jesus and reassured the members that Jesus Christ will come to take His own home.

“As mentioned by the choir in the hymn after text, yes! The Lord will fulfil His promise. The Lord will come to take His own home. Let us remain faithful; let us trust our God; let us believe in Him; at the right time, He will send His Son to come and take us home.” He said.

District Apostle Ndandula said the Lord desires to save mankind. In reference to the text word, the District Apostle said the word of God gives life.

“My dear brothers and sisters, in His time, our Lord Jesus taught us that man cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The word of God is living to those who receive it in faith. Let us allow this word to create a new creature in us; a creature that conforms to the teaching of Jesus. When we hear the word of God, let us turn away from our sinful nature.” He said.

In this divine service which marked the first advent of 2018, District Apostle Ndandula urged the members to remain focused to the promise of our time – the second coming of Jesus.

“My dear brothers and sisters; this divine service is the first advent of 2018. Advent is a period of waiting, early Christians waited for the birth of Jesus Christ.

“You and I are waiting for the promised return of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we wait for His return, we will pass through trials and temptations, but in all this, let us resolve to hold fast to that which we believe in.

“Let us trust God. Let us continue to keep our faith, at the fulfilment of time, our faithful God will fulfil His promise; our time of waiting will be over and God will send His Son to take us home.” He said.

552 members attended this service.
